Pressures

Question: Does anyone else have a million weddings this summer?
I feel so torn on how to feel about them! Haha is that bad?? I mean I am SO HAPPY for all my friends that God introduced them to one another and that they get to love somebody and all that (sorry about the attitude here, I'm working on it. Kinda.) Its just that I am sick of trying to find one of my friends to go with me to a wedding for people my friends have never met. I am sick of people trying to set me up with someone right and left and I am sick of going to events when I have to check that little box that says 'single'!

I am happy being single, no worries there; God has it for me to be single so I am unhindered in listening to His leading in my life. I am just not so happy about constantly announcing that 'no, I'm not dating anyone so I'm not bringing a date to X wedding. So no, I'm not engaged like my sister. And no, I don't plan on it anytime soon. No, thank you, I don't want to be a 3rd or 5th wheel again tonight so I think I'll go to the range, but have fun!'

Nor am I so happy with arranged "coincidence" meetings. You know the ones, where people try to set you up with a friend/brother/cousin/cousin of a friend (lol) so that person "randomly" shows up where you're going? Ha. funny one here: Kara (my sister) did this to me. Turns out the guys a Mormon! (whoops! Lol. She didn't know but STILL come on)

Ha its kind of sad, but I love singing along to that country song that goes 'I could settle down, and get married, or stay single and stay free!' Hahaha. So true.

A;ADLSJGH;JALDKJ;AFJ! Haha thanks for letting me vent a little bit. Hopefully it will help me keep my sanity. I guess it works out ok though - the way I work this stress out is by talking to God while I run/work out/shoot so I guess at least I'm staying in shape? Haha. Except I also de-stress by going to Taste of Scandinavia and eating a scone and drinking coffee while I journal and pray... hmmm...
Anybody want to join me? For coffee/scone combo or a run, your choice.
